HOSA Members compete at State Level and do well



Molokai High School maintains competitive edge:

Eleven Molokai High School HOSA (HEALTH OCCUPATIONS STUDENTS OF AMERICA) club members traveled to Oahu to compete in the state competition. Mallory Go earned First Place Gold in epidemiology and the team of Daylen Casino and Chelia DeCoite earned Second Place Silver for their presentation on Community Awareness. Top three finishers are eligible to represent the State of Hawaii in HOSA International Competition in June at Disney World in Orlando, Florida

The Molokaʻi Complex hosted its 3rd Annual ʻAha ʻŌpio o Molokaʻi, an opportunity for keiki and kūpuna to exchange moʻolelo about Molokaʻi's wahi pana in order to strengthen students' sense of Hā - BREATH (Belonging, Responsibility, Excellence, Aloha, Total well-being, and Hawaiʻi), a department-wide framework to develop the skills, behaviors and dispositions that are reminiscent of Hawaiʻi’s unique context, and to honor the qualities and values of the indigenous language and culture of Hawaiʻi.

Congratulations!! FAFSA basket


Last week Thursday we selected a winner for our grand prize FAFSA giveaway.  All senior students who completed a FAFSA application got there name entered into a drawing.  A basket was put together from generous donations by Lili'uokalani Trust, Kamoi Snack & Go and Kim Svetin that included a backpack, flask, notebooks, expanding file folder, Kamoi snack n go gift certificates, $50 and so much more!  Congratulations to our MHS Senior Hauoli Poaipuni!
